Make a difference at Del Mar Hills Academy, help with your child’s education, meet people and have fun! We have a lot of opportunities for volunteers. The time commitments for these positions range from an hour one evening to helping to plan an event an event. The positions described below and more are available here!

Hills/Heights Friendship Games – Chair – OPEN
Volunteers needed to help organize games and activities for grades 1 -2 (approx. 2 hour commitment – June 3)

Act as one of Del Mar Hills’ representative to DMSEF. Attend 1 evening meeting/month and promote participation in DMSEF events and donations (2-year commitment)
Help monitor students, prepare materials and keep the art room clean (no artistic ability necessary)
Assist in maintaining the garden and implementing learning projects in the garden.
Assist our PE specialist in tracking students for this district-wide competition (1-2 hours/spring)
Assist Ms. Swanberg with prep, clean up and organization and/or obtaining and returning loan items from the SD Natural History Museum
Assist Mr. Brachman with prep, clean up and organization of music lessons
Lunch Service Volunteers
Sign up for one day per week to help serve lunch
Sign up to help supervise students at lunch time
Everyone A Reader
You will be trained in reading techniques to work with 1st-3rd grade students. Come for 1 hour per week and work with assigned students. Commitment runs throughout the year.
